Here’s another mixtape Dimez and I did from back in the day. Not sure the date when this dropped but I remember sitting in our kitchen recording it. The Top Gun series was geared more towords the ladies….R&B with a lil hip hop in it. Not my favorite series we did but there’s some quality blends on it.
We had two technic turntables and a mixer in the kitchen of the apartment we shared back then. I’m no DJ but I can hook up a blend and I remember trying countless joints out on Dimez and some would make it on to the mixtapes we dropped. If you hear an ultra hard thug ass beat with some R&B over it…chances are it was one of my joints lol. Not sure what happened on track 15 but it’s 17 minutes long. Must have got lazy and forgot to track shit out when I recorded it to CD.
This is a decent mix tho but for Dimez and myself it represents a time when things weren’t always going smooth. I know for Dimez it was a crazy time in his life and it’s kinda cool that we have this mix to reflect on what happened…good and bad. Came a long way from when this joint dropped that’s for sure.

I have quite few King Smij CDs and this is one of my favorites. That’s why its up for download. I only have a couple more CDs I’m gonna rip seeing as this version of Rapmullet is more or less just an archive of past CDs, write ups, and Rapmullet history.
Smij was a mixtape pioneer in his own right. One of the first DJs to get into doing his own DVDs he also came up with dope mixtape concepts. Sshhhh 25 was like a mash up of two series he had. One being the Sshhhh series of slow jams and the other being the Bridging The Gap series where he played the new that borrowed from the old. If you can’t already tell its classic slow and mid tempo joints that birthed some current rap hits at the time this project dropped.
